We were allocated an allotment of wood by the Mairie at a very affordable price. We had to pick a number, so it’s a lottery. Matt picked up number 18 and we went to check it out. That’s him sorted for the next couple of months. We’ll have to cut it and make a pile in the forest and move it at the end of the summer. Mostly Beech and one Oak so pretty happy. Besides, not a bad view to work and he always fancied him as a Lumber Jack. 😉
We introduced Flint to the ‘tour des Loges’ walk’ and he actually followed us all the way round! (Must have been an obedient little dog in a former life) He was a little unsure of the horses and pretty tired at the end as he slept the rest of the afternoon. 🙂
He has been trying lots of different places to find his favourite spot.
I think we are now taking more photos of the cat than of the kids! ‘High Five!’ lol
We are back on the Vosges’ roads most saturdays for the football tournaments.
First destination was Mirecourt, then it’s Vittel, Darney, Neufchateau….Gets us out!
Matt has had a go at repairing my laptop and has been pretty successful. The screen still bugs every now and then but I can use it and that’s what matters.
Whilst he was repairing the screen, well he gave it a little spring clean…(I don’t think I actually ever cleaned it…ooops).
Matt has also found himself a new hobby: Flying a quad-copter and bought a second hand one from ‘Le Bon Coin’, he wants to try his hand at some aero photography. This is what our kitchen table looks like most evenings…
We’ve started collecting pallets….I am unsure as to what will be the first thing we make with them. We are sorting the ones we’ve got and are on the look out for specific euro pallets so we now take the small trailer when going to the local DIY shop, just in case we spot some ’round the back….;)
We watched the eclipse from our front garden with Matt’s welding’s mask. It was pretty cool. We actually like to sit at the front of the house mid-morning and have a cup of coffee and some biscuits. If anyone passes by, we have a little chat….lol (this does sound like a retired little old lady talking…)
