This is a quick summary of the main events! 😉
We have received our cartes vitales (however Matt received his after his trip to A&E…annoying). Still it feels pretty good to now have them.
I did get Saf’s permission to upload this video! 😉 We now await the snow to go down on the luge and skis.
Rhys had his first french hair cut. The first one of the family.
We socialised a little and celebrated the arrival of the ‘Beaujolais Nouveau’ in Damblain. Nice to put some decent frocks for once. 😉
The thermometer got us laughing for a bit as it seemed stuck on 10 degree. Well so we thought until it dropped down to 0 and then we were not laughing anymore.
We baked some cakes and introduced the locals to the scones! A success. We had to make some more.
We enjoyed the sunny days and started piling wood for a future massive bonfire. (I would like to apply for an authorisation to do one for the St Jean Celebration).
And it looked like there was a dead pig in Rhys’ cabin! lol We actually saw some sliced pigs dangling from a tractor driving through the village. Perfectly sliced in the middle!
Matt’s been trying to blend in with the locals on our way to the D.I.Y store, I tried a shower, I got better at photo-bombing, Saf got a tash and I received the best rejection letter:
We made some plans for the interiors and have already changed them!
The kids are getting the hang of the french homework. (see an example of Saf’s daily homework!?). Getting creative at school with a lovely squirrel and we’ve all been singing some happy french songs!?…see below
We found out we had a lodger underneath the mobile home.
Guess who have been watching the hobbit? lol. Still we can’t watch the latest one as there is no cinema nearby showing it in V.O. Have to wait to download it.
We went for rides on the Quad and the kids in the trailer!
We bought our first piece of furniture. (Thanks to Le Bon Coin)
Rhys has been getting the baguette in the morning from the bread lady.
And Matt has been re-acting this a lot.
The Vogelzang is now properly working and used a lot for cooking. It’s absolutely brilliant.
We used for the first time for Matt’s birthday.
We tidied the room up and had a nice celebration for Matt’s birthday.
Eric et Coco bought Matt ‘La Bete des Vosges’ beer. Trying to tell him something. 😉
I helped out at school for the Telethon.
More cycling and discovering awesome nests in the trees.
And for Rhys’ birthday we went bowling with their friends and he chose the sunday lunch: ‘A raclette’.
Matt discovered this:
Nice long walk.
While I cooked a couple of cakes for Rhys to take to school, Saf organised the sweets and made 28 little bags….
