Our new life in 'Les Vosges'

Stepping back in time

A few weeks ago, Eric gave us an old wood burner, that was gathering dust in his garage.
We did consider it for our kitchen but in the end, went for a Vogelzang. Matt is going to restore it and put it in his garage.
He has started a few repairs already.

Usual bottle of beer (to get an idea of the size of the wood burner)
It is also pretty heavy!

We need to get another chimney flue to affix on the outside wall… (as if we didn’t have enough chimneys! lol) Why not when wood is the cheapest way to heat a house and available on your doorstep.

So going back in time with the old wood burner prompted Matt to recreate what the kitchen might have looked like at one time:

minus the flue! 😉
